How to Manage Insomnia

Sleep is the body’s way of resetting itself, helps your body readjust to the stresses placed upon it during the day. It is during the deep stages of sleep the body performs the highest degree of metabolic repair &  and tissues regeneration, clean-up of dead cells, strengthen the immune system and fight infections, etc.—all are critical processes after a day of stress.

Even just one night, lack of sleep causes tiredness & disturbance with our cognitive functions. Over time, our natural stress response will not be able to function properly, our hormones (e.g growth hormone, thyroid, cortisol, leptin) will be out of balance, and will lead to premature aging, weight gain, chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer and many more.  

A lot of factors are involved in sleeping problem, the underlying causes could be some health issues that need to be addressed as well, and the solution is not simply taking a prescribed-sleeping pill.

In this session we will talk about the common causes of sleeping problems, and will provide you with some practical steps to manage your sleep issues with lifestyle & diet modification, and some natural treatment with herbs and nutraceuticals.
